  • Cuyahoga County 4-H Clubs/Programs participated in:  North Royalton Homesteaders
  • Animals and their Names and non-animal projects you have taken: Pet Rabbit: Spicy; Market Turkeys; Pygmy Goat: Phantom, Dunkin.
  • Did You Know and/or Fun Fact about Club, Program, Animal or Other: Turkeys love to roam around outside and stay in a pack. They call to each other if they get separated.
  • What has being a member of 4-H meant to you?  I love being a 4H member mostly because I love the animals. But, I also love science and learning the science of the different animals has been so interesting. Each year, I have done my project posters on animal disease. I like learning about the different diseases, the cause, the symptoms, and treatments.
  • How have you encouraged others to be involved? I have volunteered with my 4H club at community events where I share my animals with the public.
  • If you had the chance to shine the spotlight on your Club, what would be the top 3 things they would want others to know about 4-H? I like to show my rabbit to small kids and let them pet him. I talk to people about my animals and about all of the things that 4H is about.
  • What are your future plans and how has being in 4-H helped you to accomplish these goals? 4H has introduced me to so much science! With every animal project I work on, I learn about the science of that animal, such as the anatomy, the breed history, the proper nutrition, the amount of pen space and exercise needed. 4H has helped me to find my way to science. This year at my Middle School, I joined the Science Club and I am taking an enrichment class in genetics. I want to continue to learn and become a doctor.
